Currently Burning: Me Tarzan, You Jane
Victoria posted a video the other day of Matt (the Candleman) making a dessert. It looked amazing so I decided to attempt to remix it to something I would like :) Here's the video:
and chopped up Nectarines.
I then added about 1/2 cup of sugar to the top and mixed it well.
I covered it and let it chill overnight.
Next, I put 9 twinkies, cut in half longways onto the bottom of a glass cake pan. Probably would have been better with 10, but I don't know what happened to the last one ;)
I then chopped up 2 bananas and 2 kiwis and spread them out over the top of the Twinkie base.
In my stand mixer, I put in 1 8 oz package of cream cheese
After that, I folded in a tub of cool whip (mine had more space than it looked like they had in the video, so I went with the full tub to get more topping)
and spread it over the top of the bananas and kiwis.
I then put all of the fruit onto the top of the whipped topping (as you can see, I went a little overboard with fruit)
After 2 hours in the fridge, I had my own little slice of heaven! 10/10 Candleman!!!
Now onto the daily review!
Me Tarzan, You Jane (3): This is a dupe for the Bath and Body Works Brown Sugar & Fig. It smells exactly like that fragrance so if you'll love that you'll love this on even more! I remember the lotion having a very heavy perfume note to it. That pretty much goes away once warmed and this is a really sweet fragrance. The brown sugar notes coupled with fig and coconut milk is SO good! The throw is medium on this one. It is pretty good, but I don't think I'll be ordering a candle in it.
Remember to keep those wicks trimmed!
