Harvest (3): This is a dupe for the Yankee fragrance. It's nice a spicy with cinnamon, clove, cardamom and a few other things. Very good for Fall!

Blueberry Cheesecake (4): This is a really creamy blueberry. It's definitely one of the better blueberry scents, but I think I still prefer blueberry cobbler and blueberry monkey bread :)

Day 207 - Weekly Scent Recap #19

Currently Burning: Mango Smoothie

Mango Smoothie (4): I knew that I had to try this one warm since Melissa just added it as a new soap. I do get the mango papaya in it, but I get a really strong citrus note much more. The lemon and peach blend together really nicely and they are what I smell the most in this scent. The Mango is there making it super juicy, but it's definitely a citrus and would make a great soap!

Currently Burning: Tropical Blast

Tropical Blast (4): This is a combination of pineapple, mango, papaya, coconut, and watermelon. I can definitely get all of the notes. I smell melon the strongest followed by the pineapple/coconut. This is also the bottom layer in the Hawaiian Colada Sweet Treat which I am loving for summer!! Pretty decent throw. Not sure if I would buy this one on its own since I love the sweet treat so much though.

Blueberry Monkey Bread (4): This one smells like Blueberry Cobbler with some cinnamon. SO good! I'm not a fan of blueberry scents generally, but Blueberry Cobbler is good and this one is better! The throw is also medium/strong with this one. I'll probably be getting  a candle in this.

Salty Dog (4): This one smells like Juicy Fruit! There's also a hint of apple and cinnamon in it, but mostly I get the Juicy Fruit gum note. The throw is pretty good on this one, but isn't too strong.

Lemon Vanilla (4): This one is really sweet and yummy smelling! It's almost like lemon frosting when it's warmed up. Cold it smells a lot like lemongrass but warm I don't really get that at all. The throw is medium on it. I'm on the fence about whether or not I want a candle in it.

Blue Raspberries (4): This is dead on for the candy scent. It smells kind of like a blue raspberry jolly rancher or lollipop. Super sweet with just a touch of tartness. The throw is medium. On the fence for a candle in this one.

White Nectarine & Pink Coral (3): This one throws pretty light. I get the nectarine and some clean notes out of it. I do like it better in soap form and in Peachy Pink Coral but by itself it's just ok. I don't think I'll repurchase this one.

Breath of Ireland (3): This is a nice floral. It also has some green notes in it as well. Not my favorite so I probably won't be getting a candle in it. The throw is pretty strong though.

Papaya Waterlily (5): This one is amazing! I love the way the papaya and waterlily mix. The sweet, juicy papaya mellows out the floral notes in the waterlily and it's a gorgeous combo. The throw isn't as strong as I would like, but I think I'll still go for a candle in it!

Blushing Peaches (4): I liked this one a lot more warmed up than I did on cold throw! It's a really good mix of the peach and strawberry with a vanilla base. Glad I went for a candle in the this one! The throw is medium on this one.

White Ginger (4): This is a Hawaiian floral fragrance. It smells a lot like the Calgon body spray in Hawaiian Ginger. It's a really pretty, sweet floral. I'm on the fence about whether or not to get it in a candle. The throw is pretty decent on it though.

Wood Nymph (5): This one is really good! It's very different from any other scent that I've smelled from Victoria. It's citrus mixed with woody notes. It's really refreshing! I've been hesitant to get this one because I was afraid it would be really earthy but it is so not. I'm loving the majority of the house blends so give Wood Nymph a try! The throw is strong! I'll definitely be getting a candle in this one!

Alabama Slamma (4): This one is super strong! The predominant note I get is hickory, which is awesome because it totally takes me back to when my dad would smoke ham with hickory chips. There's also some bakery notes in there but overall I would put this in the earthy category. Not sure if I would reorder it, but I do love Black Label candles :)

Tropical Kisses (5): I love this one. I mostly smell cherry, which is funny because the description says it has notes of peach, strawberry, pineapple, grapefruit, orange, apple, and coconut - no cherry. It's like sweet fruity candy. Oh well, still going to be getting a candle in this because it's awesome. The throw on it is pretty strong too.

Day 081 - Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

Currently Burning: Raspberry Violet

Happy first day of Spring (officially)! I don't know about where you all live, but where I am it's been "spring" for a few weeks. Temps in the 70s and 80s! I'm hoping this isn't an indication for how hot the summer will be.

I've decided to change my format for Wednesday on here (hey it's my blog I do what I want!) I made my first YouTube video yesterday and I'm hooked. I've decided to put out a YouTube video every Wednesday that's a recap of the scents that I've tried for the previous week. I realize that this will be a little repetitive posted here, but it gives you both a written and verbal review for those that like both :) I'll also make videos for any orders that I get in as well from now on and post those here along with the written review.

I really appreciate all of the positive feedback that I've gotten on the blog. It's really helping me to stay motivated and keep going! Without further ado, here's the video for today recapping the week of March 14 - 20.

Raspberry Violet (5): I've been going through a lot of purple ones lately! I swear tomorrow I'm going to pick another color ;) I heard a lot about this one on the message board so I knew I had to try it. Wow, another one knocked out of the park! This is a 50/50 mixture of Raspberry and Violet. I will definitely be ordering this one in a candle at some point. The throw is also pretty strong on it.

I've been watching TPG pretty much since the beginning of the channel back in 2009. They've gone through a few different casting changes, but the current cast (with the exception of Thursday) have been on for awhile.

Ben (Monday)

Ben's personal channel is boywithdreams12. Honestly, Ben's videos are probably my least favorite, because most of the time he doesn't really do the theme (either because he doesn't know what it is, or doesn't care). He's really ditzy though so that's pretty funny. Ben replaced the 2nd Monday who replaced Chris Craigman (who is now Wednesday)

 Jordan (Tuesday)

Jordan is the only original cast member that is still on his original weekday. His personal channel is Jessigmann624. Not gonna lie, kind of a ho-bag...especially on Tumblr...js

Chris Craigman (Wednesday)

Chris C. was the original Monday on the channel, he left and eventually came back as Wednesday (replacing Jordan #2 that replaced Stu). I really like Chris' videos because he's so cheerful! His personal channel is thechrisappeal.

R.J. (Thursday)

R.J. very recently replaced Will (the original Thursday) for a permanent basis. Of course, Will isn't too far away because R.J. is Will's boyfriend. R.J. personal channel is rjaguiar1117.

 Chris Murphy (Friday)

I love Chris Murphy. Hands down favorite. His personal channel is hprum17.

Gorillas in the Mist (3): Another L*** dupe. It smells a lot like Vick's VapoRub, but not as in your face strong. The throw is actually a LOT lighter from what I thought it was going to be on cold sniff. I probably won't be picking this up again. It's not bad, it just doesn't really throw that far (with 1/2 a Scent Shot).

Day 067 - glozell1

Currently Burning: Love Shack

Glozell is freaking hilarious. I crack up in all of her videos! She also makes a TON of videos (she used to put out like 3 a day, but I think she's slowing down a bit.

The first video I saw from her was "My Push up Bra will help me get my man." SO funny.

She also does lyric videos which are usually hilarious.

Recently she did the cinnamon challenge and I'm pretty sure this is the best version on YouTube.

I also love this one because of what she has to say about the Harry Potter movies around the 4:22 mark.

Love Shack (4): On cold throw, it smelled almost exactly like Sexy in Stilettos to me. However, once I warmed it up, it smells completely different. This is a combination of Lovespell and Pink Sugar. The Pink Sugar comes out a lot more on warm throw. This is a pretty light thrower. I think I like Sexy in Stilettos better than this, so I won't be ordering this again, but it's still really good!
