Day 120 - Hot Mess Catering

I've had 2 really bad experiences with caterers recently. The first happened 2 weeks ago. The restaurant wrote down the wrong time to begin with (30 minutes later than I wanted them to arrive) so we ended up having to wait for the food to get there. On top of that, the guy someone cut his hand on something and got blood on the outside of one of the packages. I was livid.

Today I had another hot mess happen with a different caterer!!! This guy had my phone number written down wrong so he was late too. Once he got there, he came in a door with some stairs leading down. Rather than going around or waiting for us to get the service elevator going he decided to just carry everything down the stairs. He tripped and spilled food everywhere. Thank god for saran wrap!!! I've just been having bad luck with catering lately...wonder if a planet is screwing me up...I need to check my chart ;)

Now onto the daily review!

Balinese Breeze (4): This reminds me of an ocean scent. It's very clean. It's also slightly fruity - I get both the pomegranate and guava. I actually like this one the most of the ones that remind me of rain or the ocean. The throw on it isn't super strong. I'm on the fence about whether or not I want a candle in this.

Day 014 - What is my life?

Currently Burning: Reese's Peanut Butter Delight

Writing this blog has made me realize that I have a pretty boring life #noonecaresbitch. It's also made me realize that I need to actually plan out this thing so it will actually be interesting #procrastination. Tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to (for real) sit down and plan out AT LEAST the next week of blogs #getyoshittogetha. As I've stated at least once, I also need to take pictures of all of my CBV stash #puttingitofftillater. I'm thinking Monday will be a good day for that.

Today was as uneventful as is usual on a Saturday. I was going to go to my parents house, but decided not to and instead opted to play Tales of Vesperia. So I have plans for tomorrow now! I probably won't list out specifically what I'm going to blog about, but at least I should have something to talk about tomorrow. Also, CBV order comes in on Monday so that's going to be a haul :) Now onto the daily review!

Reese's Peanut Butter Delight (4): This candle is a layered candle with peanut butter on the bottom and chocolate at the top. It only comes in the 9oz size, costs $9.00, and is on page 3 of candles. It came with crumbles all over the top when I first got it and was really cute. When I first got this candle I really didn't like it. Something about the chocolate scent (which was pretty much all I could smell) didn't sit well with me. However, I let it sit for a few weeks and cure. When I came back to it I was floored. It smells SO good after it's burning. The scent throw is actually really good on it to. I would definitely consider ordering this one again. After I burned it today I've finally gotten down to the Peanut Butter and it's great. The Peanut Butter doesn't have quite as strong of a throw as the chocolate, but it's still pretty good.

Day 009 - Haircuts and Hot Messes

Currently Burning: Banana Coconut Cream Pie

Finally broke down and got a hair cut today. I really hate getting hair cuts, but today's wasn't really bad at all. I actually had a good conversation with the hair dresser and left her a pretty decent tip. I like having my hair short because it's manageable, but I hate getting it cut. I just need to pony up and do it like once a month.

Other than that today was a hot mess at work! Apparently today was the day that all incoming freshman for the spring semester were getting housing assignments. I do not understand why they cannot assign beforehand. Whatever. Basically the entire hallway on both sides was covered in people waiting. Like everyone's extra chairs from their offices/conference rooms were out in the hallway. I had to peace out early because I couldn't deal with all that (which is why I scheduled my hair cut for 4PM!)

I picked up the new mail key today and got Gears of War (the original). Probably going to play that tonight. Well, I'm debating between that and just going to sleep. I didn't fall asleep until after 3AM last night, so I'm pretty tired. I'm afraid that if I don't go to sleep in the next few hours that I'll pass the threshold of tired and into the realm of crazy! Enough rambling for today - onto the daily review!

Banana Coconut Cream Pie (5): I have a full size candle of just coconut cream pie and I really like it. I figured I would try this because (a) I really like the coconut cream pie candle, and (b) sayanythingbr00ke said this was amazing. It has the same "fake" banana scent that Victoria uses (smells like banana laffy taffy or runts). I don't dislike that smell, but it isn't my favorite. After it is burned, it really does smell amazing! The coconut and banana mellow out very nicely with a vanilla bakery scent. Definitely going to upgrade this one! The scent throw is also a lot stronger on this one than just the coconut cream pie.
